if poking myself in the eyes with a pencil wouldn't give me lead poisoning, i'd be more than willing. anything to keep me from the boredom that is puncturing my soul. i had to do one thing today, and i did it within the first 10 minutes of sitting down at my desk. at that point, i was left with two and a half hours of......... nothing. i've been surfing the web, putzing on facebook, tempted to check-out facehunter.blogspot.com because GQ has declared it hours of fun for searching savvy-girl archives (i really don't know what the site entails, so if it turns out to be somewhat of a pornographic genre, i suppose i should apologize). i was hoping to pick up some chic & urban fashion ideas. but seeing that i work in what feels like and what i wish were vacuum, a vast, hardwood floor space, people are constantly lurking over my shoulders and while they are perhaps completely uninterested at what i'm pulling up and minimizing on my computer, i still feel like i'm being watched. (really, i don't have any complaints, but i'm sick. with being bored.) i took Robert Elders advice, and i'm already scoping the scene for summer jobs. i don't care where they're located, although i'm really narrowing in on the Pacific Coast - Seattle, Portland, Eugene, East Bay. i need a serious change of pace, and if that involves being surrounded by fish, tree-huggers (nonderogatory) and rain clouds, the new biome would at least be stimulating. maybe someone could teach me how to like fishies.
