it's not that the tables are turning, but maybe it's the changing the seasons or in the way we're growing old. yesterday i called her three times in three hours. sunday was pretty much the same. today, my mom called me needing advice. advice on editing and revising an article she was about to turn over to the post crescent. and my ego didn't budge. i edited it for her and emailed it back, and in that email, i also attached my statement of intent for her to proofread..... maybe a little less than a fair trade off, but my parents love doing those "just because" things. i'm a lucky one.
so, i'm obsessed with gas prices. i keep tabs on the highs and lows and i most definitely like to make the jumps public to anyone who is around me. so here ye, here ye: i almost filled my tank up under $25! gas has dipped to 2.13, and i'm seriously loving it. serrrrriously.
i kept warm today in my car, not that i mind the fall temperatures. but instead of making an appearance in the office, i got to boat around the metro picking up items for our next shoot, making it really enjoyable day. i packed a thermos of hot cocoa for fun and drove around with my thom CD playing softly, the hot air blowing on my feet and a crack of cool air from my window blowing across my cheeks. and throw in a little road rage here and there... but that's to be expected when i'm behind the wheel. i had all the items dropped off by 4, and i've had time to kill before Shakespeare tonight. when i was showering this morning, i was going over the means of my decision for enrolling in a Shakespearean night class.... and i couldn't remember any besides that i like night classes. but i suppose it doesn't help any when my teacher is a mirrored image of Mr. Rogers.
i should get going. have to drop by one of the shops for coffee before class. i love sweater-weather.
