the tips of my fingers are velvety. i've overmoisturized because i like to think i have an appreciation for the softer things of life right now. they feel good against my lips, which are also soft. i am grateful for my skin, actually. i may not stop traffic like a Malibu vixen, but at least i know i won't have to tend to wrinkles in five years. unlike years past, i've made an effort to look nice this semester's mornings. it means more to me to feel like i look good when i'm not feeling the same. my insides can wage a war if they want but i'm going to feel silky.

the forecast calls for sun this week and boy, they better not be wrong. Minneapolis, Seattle's new sister city?
