so, a couple emotionally stimulating things have happened to me in the past couple of days. keep in mind that my judgement is impared due to lack of age, a highly ignored internship position, and a unkept house:

1) the source of the house-infesting fruit flies was finally discovered and taken care of. swatting bugs while i'm in the shower is not something i really intend on ever enjoying. Jerry said that the onions were so rotten that they were almost completely gone from the little ravishing beasts. it was not my bag of onions, nor did i clean it up, but i did happen to throw away Tom's jug of milk, that spoiled so thoroughly that there was about an 5 inch curd settling at its top, on the very same day that Jerry threw the bag of onions in the outside trash receptacle, where i just so happened to be subjected to a cloud of flies upon opening the already vomit-inducing top. this all couldn't have come at a better time; my ant problem has finally undone itself as a problem, seeing that the flying head-hancho, the queen herself, so prominently graced me with her presence while i was reading one night before bed. needless to say, if ever a spider problem develops in my room, i would prefer to live in the homeless guy's van on the corner of my street.

(i thought i'd start out with that one just so you have some idea how really titillating my life has become.)

2) Dana and I booked our flight to Pittsburgh... finally. it only took us about three weeks to figure the whole fiasco out. i can't even elaborate on how excited i am to see all those kids out there. i went out to dinner with Tommy last Friday (another fellow London-programmer) and him and I spent about 80% of our dinner refreshing ourselves of all the good that came out of being there... not to mention that we're still obsessed and wish, everyday, that we were back there complaining about our rodent/appliance/utility problems. come to think of it, none of that was ever as bad as where i live now...... except maybe my neighbors that made that crummy smelling curry.

3) my "devil wearing Prada" boss made conversation with me when i arrived at work today. she probably didn't get to reading any of my stuff yet, and she can't criticize me on my outfit (which has been done before.... which I really take offense to. at least i don't strut around here looking like i slept in my garden last night, lady.) speaking of fashion - women these days are completely incapable of wearing a suit correctly. not that i'm an expert or anything, but let's not ignore my Ann Taylor experience here.Drew was joking at work yesterday that i am
Ann Taylor. Alison Taylor... Ann Taylor?

4) i slept about 2 hours last night. i don't really find this exciting... but that's about all that's going on in my life that would be even the least bit flinching.

5) my mom is coming to visit me this weekend. this should be nice because lately i've felt homesick and that is fucking messed up. i can spend nearly 4 months abroad, almost halfway around the world and not think twice, but i drive four hours west and suddenly i want to sleep in my own bed and be bothered by my parents. there may be other indications as to why i feel this way, but i suddenly don't want to discuss this matter any further.

6) there is only a month and twelve days until i'm 21 years old. yes i'm counting, and no i don't care if your birthday comes after mine.... this is all about me. haha. no, but seriously.....

8) Montana for Labor Day is looking hot hot hot, a.k.a. likely.

9) ummmmm.... oh! there was a boy in my room last night... and i had to kick him out. when does that ever happen?

10) i'm pretty sure i'm going to start participating in dance studio again. i need something jarring like that to shift my life around. no more of this 'hey, check out how exciting my life is (not) in this fabulous list i put together while sitting task-less at work!' crap. but until that jarring-something-or-other happens, i am at your disposal.

not to mention that upon reading this after writing it all.... i completely skipped over lucky number seven. apparently i'm so bored that my brain has come to an absolute hault.maybe that should be #7?
